Our Vision

Access for all.

We are all aware that the world seems to be crumbling around us. Our forests are being destroyed at an alarming rate and our oceans are dying right before our eyes. What can we do? Where do we even begin?

In order for someone to care about the things around them, they have to know those things exist. When I mention there are snakes in my backyard, people are surprised, as I live in Richmond, California, an urban center filled with cement.

They aren’t there by coincidence: I have created a habitat for them. My garden is free of cats, which hunt them. There are low water bowls for them to drink from tucked between the plants. No pesticides are used in the garden.

The snakes in my yard are garter snakes which like most snakes here in California, are harmless to humans.
