Things That Creep

Things That Creep brings science to life with lizards, turtles, snakes and frogs. Our hands-on programs are designed to create a connection between participants and animals that are often ignored or feared and provide a pathway to future careers in STEM fields.

Through learning about herps (reptiles & amphibians) and their role in their ecosystems, people feel a vested interest in their importance and protection. Herps play a vital and necessary role in a healthy, local ecosystem. Local ecosystem biodiversity helps maintain a balance to create a more healthy planet.

We can support biodiversity in our own outside spaces by making conscious choices about the types of plants we grow, having a bird bath or spraying pesticides. We can make small changes to our gardens to support wildlife so that it can continue to thrive despite habitat loss which threatens much of our planet's life. Together we can make a difference.

Founded in 2018, Things That Creep is is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in Richmond, California.

Although Things That Creep is a new organization, our programs have been visiting classrooms since 2011.
